The Jockey Club Dental Care Training Centre
In 2024, the Vocational Training Council received funding from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to establish the Jockey Club Dental Care Training Centre ("the Centre") at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Chai Wan). The Centre serves as a state-of-the-art facility designed to advance both oral health education and clinical training. It provides a professional environment for dental hygiene students to develop the clinical skills and knowledge for successful careers. In addition to offering hands-on training, the Centre also delivers dental care services and promotes oral health.

Facilities
Equipped with advanced dental equipment, the Centre includes dental chairs, sterilizers, X-ray machines, IT-supported electronic health systems and simulation units, all designed to simulate real-world dental care environments. Purpose-built training labs provide a comprehensive setting for students, ensuring they can develop and practise their skills with precision, efficiency, and safety. The facilities are thoughtfully divided into three key areas, providing a comprehensive training environment that combines innovation with practicality.
Treatment Training Hall
Supports hands-on clinical practice under professional supervision
Simulation Laboratory Area
Allows students to refine their skills using cutting-edge technology in a simulated controlled setting
The Jockey Club Dental Care Visitor Centre
An interactive space designed for workshops, talks, and VR-enhanced learning experiences. This area fosters community engagement while offering immersive educational opportunities
